Ways to Practice Gratitude Daily

Hey Soul Fam!

This week during Thankful Thursday we discussed ways to focus on GRATITUDE. Here are some awesome but simple ways to make gratitude a part of your daily life.

  1. Start keeping a gratitude journal and add 1 thing to it every day.
  2. Tell someone that you love them and how much you appreciate them in your life!
  3. Go out on a walk in nature and be conscious of all of the beauty you find there.
  4. Try doing one random act of kindness a day for a week straight!
  5. Nurture all the relationships you have, especially your friends. Good friends are hard to come by so if you have some, show them some appreciation.
  6. Smile more often. Smiling is said to increase happiness.
  7. Avoid the kind of tv shows and movies that resonate low and are full of super chaotic and destructive content.
  8. (If you have a good relationship with your family) Call your parents often. Call your grandparents even more. Tell them you love them and appreciate them for all that they have done.
  9. Go and volunteer for organizations that help others.
  10. Be mindful of the language and words you use towards others around you, that means being mindful of gossip or speaking badly about anyone.
  11. Spend quality time with your family, friends, pets or your lover. *wink, wink*
  12. Try complimenting someone you don’t know because you think they look good.
  13. Write a card to someone you haven’t seen in a while and tell them something nice.
  14. Whenever you think a negative thought, distract yourself by listing 3 good things in your mind.
  15. Commit to one day a week when you won’t complain about anything.
  16. Be a team player. Try to take note when people do a good job and give recognition when it’s due at work.
  17. Reward the efforts of others. If someone does something nice for you, do something nice for them. Match their fucking energy!
  18. Meditate with your gratitude list, giving thanks for each things.
  19. Practice living in the PRESENT, stop worrying about the past or future.
  20. Thank the people who serve you in the community — the service workers, the bus drivers, mailpersons, grocers, the person who was your Uber driver- always say thank you to people! You never know how appreciative they may be just to hear those words.
  21. While you’re thanking all the people you interact with outside, don’t forget to say thank you for the little things your loved ones do for you that may go unseen normally.
  22. Post quotes and images that remind you to be grateful around your house. Personally, I did this to a whole wall that I’ve dubbed my “Wall of Inspirations”.

Sending mucho luz + amor always.

XoXo,

Luna Estrellas
