Self-Care: Beauty Rituals
Hey Soul Family,
Self-care is such a huge hot button topic at the moment, but so is self-love. Self-love is all encompassing- that means that we love our mind, body, and spirit. Yet so many of us have an issue with the skin that we are in, so I've put together a little something to help you create your own beauty rituals. If you missed out on my glamour class, then you definitely missed out on learning all about practical tools that can be used to help us to fall in love with ourselves. But fear not, I'm going to share some of my favorite beauty herbs and a goddess beauty bath that has its roots in the types of baths that Cleopatra would take at least once week. We'll also go over some great ways to practice self-love through beauty rituals.Â
What are some ways to practice beauty rituals?
- Baths- you can do salt baths, use bath bombs, or try the goddess bathÂ
- Try a scrub for your body
- Exfoliation of the face and body
- Face masks- sheet masks, mud masks, or DIY
- Body masks- hand masks, feet masks, body mud masks
- Hair masks- you can DIY awesome recipes
- Skin care routines- try out some Korean skincare regimesÂ
- Dry brushing your body
- Massage your face and scalp
- Allow yourself to sleep in one day a week
- Give yourself a manicure or pedicureÂ
- Create your own body productsÂ
- Buy yourself an outfit that you feel amazing in
- Buy some new makeup and enchant it for beauty and self-love
For those of you who love to take baths, here is a Goddess Bath recipe that is guaranteed to have your skin feelings super soft and supple. I personally like to spend at least an hour in my milk and honey baths. You could also enchant or add flowers that are on these two tables. The most commonly used is roses, especially pink roses, which signify self-love. For those of you who like to make their own baths or oils, these two tables have a bunch of ingredients that you could enchant to create your own baths or oils.Â
When making your own bath and beauty products for self-love and beauty, you should choose to enchant 1 item for beauty, and 1 for self-love and/or self-esteem. This will ensure that whatever you create embodies the energies of self-love, self-esteem, and beauty. Choose the ingredients that resonate the most with you. For beginners who have never enchanted anything before, I suggest you stick to one ingredient. For my more advanced energy workers- have fun, the sky is the limit.
While I usually like to use epsom salt when making baths, when I make self-love or beauty baths I like also through in a pinch of some pink Himalayan salts. Remember when it comes to ingredients, a little goes a long way. It isn't about the amount of ingredients that you have, it's about your faith and intention. This is where I like to incorporate that biblical saying "faith the size of a mustard seed, can move a mountain". This is SO true. It is never about how much of something you have, when you have your faith. Faith is much stronger than your ingredients. All you will ever need is a pinch, so don't get caught up on having a handful of each of your ingredients.Â
